About the Home Prep Kit

We make one thing: a calm, complete home emergency kit for UK households, so that a long power cut is an inconvenience rather than a crisis.

Our approach

We built the kit from the items that appear most often across UK and international preparedness guidance, including the UK Government's Be Ready checklist, the British Red Cross and energy network operators. Then we removed anything risky indoors or awkward to post, and sized it for a week rather than three days.

Independent

The Home Prep Kit is an independent UK business. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the UK Government, the British Red Cross or any energy company. Where we quote guidance we link to the source.

Product safety

Electrical items will carry UKCA or CE marking with a UK importer address. Built-in lithium-ion batteries are under carrier limits. We do not sell medicines, blades, fuels or gas canisters.
